Press Release - Sprankle Woods/ Oktoberfest
February 2025
Dear Friends and Supporters,
On behalf of Sprankle's Neighborhood Markets, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has attended and participated in our Sprankle's Octoberfest over the past six years! Your support has made this event a tremendous success. Through your support and dedication we have helped nonprofits raise over $400,000 and local businesses generate millions of dollars in revenue . We will miss it but using the lessons learned friendships formed and community support we plan on continuing the mission at our farm Sprankle Woods
Like our mission statement says, Sprankle Woods Farm is dedicated to community engagement by providing authentic cultural and educational celebrations that value our traditions. We offer opportunities for learning and immersive experiences through agricultural demonstrations, food, music, dance, and other experiences. Through the umbrella of the events, we champion non profits and other organizations as they pursue their philanthropic endeavors.
Sprankle Woods Farm is dedicated to community engagement by providing authentic cultural and educational celebrations that value the traditions. We offer opportunities for learning and immersive activities through agricultural demonstrations, food, music, dance, and other experiences. Please join us for the fun and activities at Sprankle Woods, located at 340 Riemer Road in Sarver, Pennsylvania.
During our events, we offer a wide variety of agricultural education where visitors can learn about sustainable farming practices and local crop cultivation. The Farm also celebrates local heritage, showcasing the rich history and traditions of the area through interactive exhibits and storytelling. Additionally, it fosters community engagement by hosting events and workshops that bring people together to share knowledge, skills, and experiences.
As we look to the future, we have chosen to shift our focus from a singular large-scale event like Octoberfest to creating a space for our ethos at Sprankle Woods. We believe this will allow us to allocate our time and resources more effectively and bring you even more exciting and diverse experiences. We wish to thank all of our sponsors and partners over the past six years!
We are currently in the midst of planning some fantastic events at Sprankle Woods, and we hope to see you there! Please visit us at www.spranklewoods.com to check out our past events archives and stay updated on upcoming events.
Thank you once again for your unwavering support.
Warmest regards, The Sprankle’s Neighborhood Markets Team

MAIFEST - Friday & Saturday, May 9-10
Starting this May we will host our inaugural Maifest Spring Festival. This German and American themed event will showcase traditions from our forefathers - the May pole, a May wine punch called “Maibowle” and the special brew Maibock Bier (as the name suggests, this beer is brewed for May to celebrate the arrival of spring, and originated in Germany as a traditional bock beer first brewed in the 14th century). There will be Kinderland with children’s activities and entertainment as well as agriculture hands on demonstrations to learn about our area’s rich agriculture heritage.
WEST FEST - Friday & Saturday, June 20-21
This old tyme Western theme event returns to Sprankle Woods. Last year’s inaugural West Fest was well received and we had a lot of fun with cowboys, horses, our Wild West Saloon show with Loop Rawlings and Honky Tonk Piano Bar. We are thrilled that Altmeyer’s Western Wear will be with us this year as well as the Cowboy Fastdraw Association and the Shooting Star Renegades, along with food, beverages, craft/artisan vendors and more.
